Winter
Smile
I stand here
alone
in a secret
meadow
at the edge
of a forest
surrounded by
silence.
The winter
sky fades
the twilight
into dusk and
the fading
shadows lengthen
against the
tall grass.
I watch as
the blue turns to purple,
the purple to
crimson,
the crimson
to grey and
eventually a
blackness void of stars.
A faint chill
envelopes my body
and I quiver
with the sensation
as my nipples
protrude through
layers of
satin and velvet.
The winds
whirls my long hair
into a frenzy
about my shoulders
and I fold
into myself, clutching,
feeling
protected and safe.
The night may
be ebony,
the wind may
howl about,
but I am
shielded fom harm
as my
thoughts turn to you.
You are my
warmth against the cold,
my light to
brighten the dark,
and my armor
against harm, and
with you I am
shielded.
Within my
vision of you and
of being
folded into the protection
of your arms,
I know I am safe
And....I
smile.
