Designs to give Intellectual Pleasure

If you've come to this part of my Kiss, then you have chosen to ignore the warning that this is a purely self-promoting area. I hope you will indulge me enough to stay and enjoy my photographs and a few of my poems.

I truly enjoy my photographic arts, so to speak. One of the greatest pleasures I have is taking photographs of friends & family doing all myriads of activities. I really love sports photography and I have had compliments from newspaper sports photographers on my work. Over the years, I have photographed football, softball, waterskiing, ice hockey, go-carts, and motocross racing. And it is the greatest feeling to capture just the right moment in the action. I also love getting just the right candid of people in all sorts of situations. I always try to have my camera at parties, family gatherings, country fairs, well, just about anywhere where people would gather and I can catch them off-guard in a great candid. And, I have had Exhibits and have won awards on some of my landscape photography. I have taken landscape photos all over the eastern United States and have captured some beautiful sunsets and seascapes and mountain mists.

As far as my writings go, I have written fan fiction about the Vampire Chronicles, which you can find in my Darkness section under the Archives in LeSang in The Vampire Chronicles section. Here I've put a few of my poems which are inspired by important people and feelings and events in my life. I have been writing poems for years and it's just a way of expression. I seem to write in spells - doing a lot of poems over a short period of time - and, then, not writing for months. Most of those below are ones from a recent writing spree.

So, stay a bit and I hope you enjoy this little respite of self indulgence.

This photo was taken at Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park in Maine. It shows beautifully the angry sea meeting the rocky coast.

Schoodic Point, again. Both of these shots were taken in late summer showing majestic Sea Spray.

This is one of my favorite photos. It is at Hadley Point on Mount Desert Island in Maine. For years, this same boat sat in this same spot and I finally got the definitive sunset photo.

Again Hadley Point just after sunset in mid-October. Serene and peaceful come to mind when I look at this photo. What do you think?

The heart of my soul city, New Orleans, begins to beat here in Jackson Square. General Jackson sits astride his steed with the breathtaking St. Louis Cathedral perfectly framed behind him.

Something about cemeteries has always intrigued me. I find them mysterious, tranquil, and beautiful. And, none are more beautiful than the cemeteries of New Orleans with her ornate and ancient tombs.

The Lady of Jazz is a definitive photo of New Orleans. This woman could wail on that horn and everytime I look at this photo it takes me right back to Royal Street.

New Orleans Lace & Iron depicted in the delicate symmetry of the perfect balcony.

My Cabin in the Smokies in another of my favorite subjects. This site is located in the Cades Cove section of the Smoky Mountains and I have won awards on my winter depiction of this same scene.

September Falls in New York State is a moving site to behold. I took this photo in September just before the leaves turned to brilliant red and orange.

Spring Sunset on Lake Winnipesaukee in the awesome White Mountains of New Hampshire. This photo was taken on a quiet spring evening

The fountain at The Provincial Hotel on Chartres Street in New Orleans is a wonderful example of how simple things can set you in a New Orleans mood.

I do a great deal of sports photography and this is what I would call 'capturing the moment'. Don't worry, other then some sore muscles and a headache, he was fine.

I think this is one of the best sports shots I ever took. I've had newspaper sports photographers compliment this one.
